October News: Clearing and Protection

It’s the time of year when on many of our minds is…Halloween!  And whether you still dress up or leave that to the kiddos, one thing is true every October: The number of people trying to make contact with the spirit world increases.  As well, the veil that separates us from the spirits gets thinner, which enables easier contact–whether we want it or not.

And so, it’s my annual “please think about your energetic security” message.  We live on this Earth in a soup of countless different energies–ranging from amazingly lovely to downright evil.  And a lot of that energy can stick to us, follow us around, and even directly interfere in our lives.  Negative energy can also be generated by our own selves, too; every time we have an unkind thought, experience stress, get hit with grief, or feel anger rising up within us, all of that has a negative charge, and it accumulates.

So it’s useful to have that energy cleared from us on a regular basis.  And this is what we try to do with practices such as burning sage, lighting candles, and gridding our homes with crystals.  But oftentimes, those efforts are not strong enough for the forces out there, and some things still hang around.

I’ve therefore put together, to celebrate energetic security month, an Energy Clearing and Protection Bundle.

• Energy Clearings remove unwanted energy from you.  This can either be your own energy, such as accumulated stress, anger, sadness, or frustration.  Or, it can be outside energy, such as from another person (like a narcissist or overly emotional friend), or from the purely energetic world (like an entity, a malicious spirit or other dark energy).

Solar Eclipse: Last month brought us the first of two eclipses, and tomorrow is the second one.  The Annular Eclipse of the Sun happens tomorrow–Wednesday, October 2–from 11:42am to 5:47pm EST.  The maximum eclipse is at 2:45pm EST.
