September News: “But wait, there’s more!”

When I started writing this, I heard a collective groan from the spirit world when I noted that September brings several big events energetically. So I decided to add some levity to the situation with the subject line.

But it’s true: There’s more coming.

This month begins another powerful eclipse season and, of course, Equinox:

Tuesday, September 17: Partial Eclipse of the Moon (8:41pm to 12:47am EST; maximum eclipse is at 10:44pm EST)
Sunday, September 22: Equinox (8:43 am EST)
Wednesday, October 2: Annular Eclipse of the Sun (11:42am to 5:47pm EST; maximum eclipse is at 2:45pm EST)

(Note: There is not a third eclipse coming. Some people are saying that there’s an “almost eclipse” of the Moon happening on October 17, because the Earth’s shadow will approach the Moon. But because the shadow will not actually cover the Moon, it is not a true eclipse, nor will it energetically do what a true eclipse does. Isn’t two enough, though?)

So let me pause and ask: How are you, really?

Summer was quite a ride for a lot of us. The energies were pushing hard to separate us from anything lower than the next level of our path, shaking old and unpleasant things to the surface as that happened, and overwhelming already-tired psyches. This intensity was hard to handle especially for our physical bodies.

The results of that effort, though, were amazing: freedom, space to be ourselves, and a further launching onto our higher paths. Indeed, recall that the message I received for 2024 was “It’s time to launch.” The previous 4-5 years held many of us in suspended animation, putting on hold our personal desires or the initiatives that we’d been working towards, and very often requiring us to divert our attention to take care of others. That dynamic is already ending. I’ve personally seen many people be able to pick up where they left off and resume their plans; at a higher turn of the spiral, of course. And where it hasn’t fully happened yet, it has at least started to happen. So everything we’re doing is working.

And now, we’re headed into even more leveling up, some more refining of our directions, and some more digging into our depths to find out even more of who we are. In short:

Eclipses of the Moon allow us to visit the very depths of our souls, the darkest and most hidden pieces of ourselves, in order to bring those pieces to the surface. These range from ancient wounds to gifts we’ve mastered over many lifetimes.
Equinox is a time when we can harvest the fruits of our spiritual labours; where Spirit brings into our lives the wonderful things we’ve been working towards. But in advance of Equinox, we can be asked to intensify our efforts to uncover, release, and heal old wounds, and to trust our guidance and take concrete steps onto our truest paths.
Eclipses of the Sun stamp into permanence the work that we have been doing, and can open new avenues in our lives seemingly overnight. Indeed, Solar Eclipses can bring rapid changes.

I also want to say that as the world continues to move faster, it’s important to rest when we can. We won’t often get much of a break anymore. We as a planet and species are fully on the path upward, and a lot needs to happen in order for that to unfold. We’re also entering Solar Maximum: the part of the Sun’s 11-year cycle where our power source is most active, where it unleashes major solar flares and geomagnetic storms on a regular basis. Solar Maximum has already proven to be more intense than experts had forecast, and it will last another couple of years. (I know, I know.)

So rest whenever Spirit gives you a break. You may especially want to take care of your nervous system. Here’s one simple tip to do that.

And keep trusting the flow. We signed up for this ride, and we did that with good intentions. It’s leading you somewhere beautiful.
