October News: From my heart to you

Here in Canada, we’re getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving. And it’s with that in mind that I wanted to share with you my deepest gratitude: Thank you for being here. Thank you for being part of what I do; part of Put The Light Here and part of the healing work and spiritual growth. Thank you for joining me on this journey, and for welcoming me into yours. It warms my heart to know that something that I do, is of value to you. So from that warmth and light and love in me, I give thanks to you.
Energy Forecast: October promises to be another potent month for energies. If you’re still tracking all the planets in retrograde, there are five-and-a-half of them. All month long, these five planets will continue their retrograde: Jupiter; Saturn; Uranus; Neptune; and Chiron. And Pluto will be in retrograde until October 11.
As well, eclipse season has come around again. Recall that eclipses come in pairs–a solar and a lunar; this month brings both of them. We’ll have:
- an Annular (almost-total) Eclipse of the Sun on Saturday, October 14 (from 11:03am EDT to 4:55pm EDT; maximum eclipse is at 1:59pm EDT); and
- a Partial Eclipse of the Moon on Saturday, October 28 (from 2:01pm EDT to 6:26pm EDT; maximum eclipse is at 4:14pm EDT)
Eclipses are strong energy. If you pay attention to what happens in your life during eclipse seasons, then you may notice that intense events happened to you during them. Those events may form some of your key memories… I remember being sick during the winter eclipse season (as a direct result of the energies) in 2018, and recall some intense shifts during last October/November’s season. So they really do affect us–strongly.
To summarize their effects, a solar eclipse can solidify positive shifts you’ve made prior to the eclipse, and a lunar eclipse can take you deep into your shadow in order to reveal things that need to be revealed (and either healed, in the case of a wound; or integrated, in the case of a gift). On top of the energies, and partly because of them, there’s a lot of illness going around right now. People are getting sick. This actually makes a lot of sense: After 3.5 years of an exhausting pandemic, our bodies have been under serious stress, our habits have maybe turned toward comfort-seeking behaviour rather than health-seeking behaviour, and the world around us carries a higher toxic load than ever before. So our ability to repel a new invader may be low. With this in mind, I hope you yourself are keeping well and taking measures to boost your health. If you could use some holistic guidance (in addition to an energy boost), I’ll be happy to help.
