Can you see why problems perpetuate? Because we let them.

However, when someone tries to dump their baggage onto you---that is, to make their problem into your problem---you have two options: You can accept it, or you can push it back onto the person who created it.

When you push it back, you force the person to change their behavior.

You also clean up the energy around you, because no one is spilling their stress or their laziness onto you.

But by accepting problems that aren't ours? We allow those problems to keep circulating---and they never get dealt with, because the person with whom the problems originated just got away with not having to face them.

For the last six years, the background energy of the planet has been encouraging us to put up strong and clear boundaries, to say "no" to what's not ours, and to require people to take responsibility for their own baggage.

In doing so, the world becomes a better place: We breed accountability.

Either way, I encourage you to see clearly what's not yours, and politely but firmly hand the entirety of the problem back to the person or people who are responsible for it.

(And if you are taking it on, then come for an energy healing and I'll heal the reason why you feel you have to do that, and get everyone else's energy off of you.)

All of us have, almost certainly, been neglected emotionally.

Here's why that's important: Trauma experts believe that emotional neglect is more damaging than physical abuse.

One reason why is because we are emotional and feeling creatures. Who we are inside is the most important part of us for someone to know. And emotional neglect suppresses all of that.

A single parent who didn't have time to hear about your day. A spouse who dismisses your grief over losing out on a promotion. A friend who changes the topic of conversation every time you bring up your feelings. That's emotional neglect.

And it happens every day. Right?

But who you are is the most important thing! Know that. You deserve to be heard, to be seen, and to be known. Fully and deeply.

So find someone who has the capacity to do that for you.
