Happy October! Do you feel the energies around you

Happy October! Do you feel the energies around you? Has it been extra-difficult lately? I've got something for you in this month's newsletter. Read it at the "October News" link in my bio.

Also, I'll be doing in-person appointments in two places this month:
- Saturday, October 24: Manotick
- Monday, October 26: Stittsville

Phone appointments happen four days a week.

I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and Halloween!

~ Jen

As you know, Green Spirit Rising is closing its doors by the end of this year. To lift us up a bit, I'm giving away an energy healing appointment *every month* until it's closed.

The winner of September's draw is Corrie! Congratulations, Corrie!

Anyone can enter, and you can submit a new entry each month. Just go into the shop and fill out the ballot: 5562 Manotick Main Street, Manotick, Ontario.

For healing appointments, I'll be at Green Spirit Rising again on Saturday, October 24. I also do appointments each week by phone (it's the same process, same result). To view the options and book, visit my website: PutTheLightHere.com.

We are social creatures. We need each other.

As Bessel van der Kolk said, if a woman is assaulted, the very first thing she needs is to be surrounded by her loved ones.

That one act will help her recover.

Not medication. Not therapy. Not movement. Not psychedelics.

But people---people showing up to be there with her.

And as Judith Herman found, *not* having people around us---and worse, being abandoned by the people who were supposed to believe us---is a far worse trauma than the original act itself.

We are social creatures. We must show up for each other.

It's okay if the road ahead isn't clear. Trust that the path is a good one---because you chose it before coming into this life.

If you'd like an in-person energy healing *specifically at Green Spirit,* then you can book now for Saturday, October 24: click the "Monthly Events" link in my bio.

NOTE: It's October 24, not 26.
