A near-death experience (NDE) is a type of spiritual awakening. It tends to happen when a person is acutely sick or even has been declared dead.

During the experience, the person generally: visits Source or the Cosmos; is immersed in the energies of unconditional love; feels at one with everything; and feels a deep sense of peace.

When the experience is over, they return to their life changed. They are different than they were before.

It can be hard to reconcile one's "old" life with the new, spiritually awakened one.

People rightly seek help. But there isn't much help available. We don't have a wealth of psychologists or medical doctors trained in spiritual realities. So people are misdiagnosed, medicated, called crazy, and/or dismissed.

The very important phase of "integration" is thus disrupted.

We need more people to understand that spiritual realities are real. They're important. And they're increasingly a part of our world.

If you need help, I'm here for you. I've experienced some pretty far-out stuff in the Cosmos and completed the full spiritual awakening process (though, full disclosure, I haven't had an NDE).

Let's keep talking openly about our experiences. Let's raise awareness. And in doing so, let's make this world into one where spiritual realities are part of *everyone's* daily lives---and where spiritual therapies are covered by insurance.

Emotional Neglect: Do you have the invisible wound that is childhood emotional neglect?

Emotional neglect is hard to spot because it is a result of what *didn't* happen. You weren't hit, you weren't yelled at; you simply were...neglected.

Your parent didn't see you--really see you. They didn't notice that you needed something, wanted to say or share something about yourself. They didn't invite you to express your feelings. They didn't help you understand your emotions; the good ones and the bad ones.

Neglect isn't deliberate, either. Well-meaning parents are neglectful every day.

And the effect, sadly, is more impactful than abuse which is physical.

How about that?

You may have been impacted by emotional neglect if you: have trouble connecting with people emotionally; fear being seen; fear rejection; feel invisible or numb; wish you could live on an island all alone; and have a wide range of other symptoms, habits, and personality traits.

Science isn't very science-y when it automatically

Science isn't very science-y when it automatically excludes vast chunks of reality from what it is willing to consider "possible."

I really liked that sentiment from Michael Harner (who revitalized Shamanism, particularly in the West).

It says so clearly how very limited the "scientific" and medical research has been in the last several hundred years---when we started denying all but the physical and material world.

Think of how much progress has been lost because of that.
